ESTATE MANAGERS

Estate Managers

ESTATE MANAGER

The role of an Estate Manager is similar to that of a House Manager, only an Estate Manager’s responsibilities usually lie with the Estate and not the residential property.  Many Estate Managers are hired to look after residences that are not in full time occupation, making this a very important and key position.

The responsibilities of this job will include managing the gardening and grounds staff, and the budgets and accounting requirements for the grounds of the property. You may also be responsible for the upkeep of other buildings on the property such as barns, cottages and stables.  The role may also involve looking after the renting of land to other parties, livestock management, pest control (a shotgun licence can be useful) etc.  You could also be dealing with outside contractors such as swimming pool and tennis court maintenance companies, construction projects, helping with arranging shoots and other events including putting up of marquees, helping with shoot parties etc.

Based on the size of the property the Estate Manager may wear many other hats!

We recruit our Estate Managers very carefully.  All Estate Managers are interviewed thoroughly, and must have at a minimum of at least three years experience, suitable references that can be checked, good spoken English and other languages if required.

In 2017 we opened an office in Witney, Oxfordshire as in the past few years we have seen a significant rise in requests for good Country Estate Managers and this office now deals with all vacancies outside of London.

Our aim is not to send you lots of Estate Management candidates – just the right candidates.

If you are looking to recruit an Estate Manager please telephone 020 3174 2446 or email  enquiries@tandcstaff.com    We would be happy to help.
