Would you like to train as a Housekeeper or improve your Housekeeping skills?
Introducing Kirsty Peacock and Town and Country Staff’s new Training Academy.
My name is Kirsty Peacock and I’m from Paisley in Scotland but now live in London. I will be heading up the new Training Academy for Town & Country.
I began my career in Private Service working as a Stewardess in the yachting industry almost 15 years ago.
That’s when I realized that working for UHNWI individuals was going to be very different to anything I’d done before. On my first day as junior stewardess on Motor Yacht Lady Allison I was given the job of cleaning the bathroom in one of the staterooms. The Chief Stewardess armed me with the products I needed, explained how to use them and told me she’d be back at the end of the day.
The bathroom was huge. White marble, everywhere!. And the gold, Oh my word the gold!! The taps were gold, the plugholes were gold, the toilet flush was gold. Even the toilet brush was gold. I called my parents that night to tell them that I cleaned the toilet with a gold plated toilet brush!
Over the years I have work aboard many beautiful boats and in stunning homes all with one thing in common, they are kept to the highest of standards. I have amassed a huge amount of knowledge on how to look after every surface imaginable. Sting Ray skin covered walls, a wooden bath, a crystal sink, carpets made from gold and silk. I have seen them all and have learned how to look after them.
Although being an exceptional House Keeper isn’t just about cleaning. It’s about making the lives of the principle who you work for run as smoothly as possible. Keeping the home clean of course but also organized. Staying one step ahead to make sure the house is in perfect working order and the most important the attention to detail.
If you would like to work as a Housekeeper in some of the UK’s or even the world’s finest homes then please get in touch. Town and Country Training Academy will arm you with the skills and knowledge needed to make you the perfect Housekeeper, including how to look after that gold plated toilet brush.
We’d love to hear from you.
