THE TRAINING ACADEMY
Town and Country Staff are delighted to now be offering Housekeeping Training.
We get asked everyday by so many people
‘How do I become a Housekeeper?
‘How do I become a better Housekeeper as I want to work at the top level in high end homes?’
Housekeeping is the general care, cleanliness, orderliness and maintenance of a home. We believe that offering ‘hands on’ training courses to give you the specific training you need will help you achieve your Housekeeping career.
We are delighted to have been joined by Kirsty Peacock who will be heading up the Training at The Academy. Kirsty’s housekeeping knowledge has been gained through experience working both in the UK and Internationally. Having worked on Private Yachts, Cruise Ships and, most recently, for several years as Executive Head Housekeeper in charge of running the housekeeping for several properties owned by ultra-high net worth families, Kirsty’s knowledge is extensive and invaluable.
The aim of The Training Academy is to teach you what you need to know and to give you the confidence to work as a Housekeeper – regardless of what level you want to work at or where you want to work in this industry. Our courses are two or three days and are open everyone, from complete beginners to those who already have some experience but are looking to increase their expertise. The two-day course covers all the basics – and much more. The three-day course will give you more information on the subjects you may need to know about if you want to work in very high-end homes. There will be no more than 10 people in any class.
Town and Country is also a Recruitment Consultancy so if you have completed your course, we can also talk to you about writing your CV, assist you with preparing for interview, finding a housekeeping job or a new job if you are already working in the industry. Our ‘Available Candidate’ page is the most popular page on our website and, if you would like us to, we can put your details on the page so that Clients who are looking for new staff can find you! This benefit will always be available to our Training School graduates – you are always welcome to come back to us in the future for help finding that new job.
These are some of the subjects Kirsty will be teaching on the courses: –
General Introduction, Instruction and Advice
Care of Flooring
Types of Bedding

Washing and Stain removal
Care of Antiques
We will be holding courses in Central London at the Prestigious Millennium Hotel on Sloane Street in Knightsbridge. The two-day courses will be on Saturday and Sunday, and the three days courses will also include a Friday.
